Dogs of all shapes and sizes enjoy romping through the 10 acre fenced play area of the Raccoon River Park Dog Park. The facility is open daily, year round from 6:30 a.m. until dusk and features areas for both large and small dogs. Users are required to purchase a Dog Park Permit to utilize the facility. *All dogs residing in the City of West Des Moines are required by law to have a City Pet License in order to purchase a Raccoon River Dog Park Annual Permit.

  • Homelessness Prevention with financial assistance toward housing, electric and water bills.
  • Basic Needs with gift cards for personal hygiene products and vouchers for the laundromat.
  • Annual Back to School Giveaway event provides low-income families with much needed backpacks filled with school supplies for their children.

DMACC offers Non​credit English Language Learner (ELL) courses for anyone 18 years or older.  The courses move learners from a beginner level to a solid intermediate level of proficiency. The classes cover the four skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing as well as improving pronunciation and building vocabulary.
