  • Volunteers should be able to work independently without supervision as well as collaboratively with a team.
  • Summer applications will be accepted until all positions have been filled.
  • Potential volunteers will be contacted for an interview and training session, held in May.
  • Volunteer schedules will be sent after volunteer training.

Please contact wdmlibraryvolunteers@wdm.iowa.gov with any questions.

  • Group Service Project meets the 1st and 4th Wednesday during the school year, September through April.
  • For students in 9th  - 12th grade.
  • Click starts in August of each year

Please contact wdmlibraryvolunteers@wdm.iowa.gov with any questions.

Teen Advisory Board (TAB)

Are you interested in making the library a better place for teens? Then the WDM Library’s TAB is for you!  By becoming a member of TAB you can take a leadership role in your community, give input in teen activities, and help develop the collection of young adult materials at the Library. TAB members also host fundraisers for teen programming at the Library, participate in community activities, help with children's programs at the library and more.

TAB meets September through May on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in our brand-new Teen Center. For more information contact the Youth Services Department (515-222-3405 or youthservices@wdm.iowa.gov).

Please contact the Library with questions at wdmlibraryvolunteers@wdm.iowa.gov.
