Reading Challenges

Winter Reading Challenge 2022-2023

Do you have a stack of good books you’ve been meaning to dig into? Looking for something to do inside on a cold day? We invite you to curl up with some good books this winter! Readers of all ages may log their reading online during our Winter Reading program that runs December 15, 2022 through January 15, 2023. You don’t need to log books or minutes – just log if you read something! Readers who complete 12 days’ worth of reading will be entered into a drawing for a prize basket.

You may sign up online, the Beanstack app from the App store or Google Play, or by stopping by the Children's or Adult desks at the library.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten (ongoing)

For parents and children ages 0-6

Read to succeed! The best and the brightest have parents who read to them. Register on our reading challenge website or use the Beanstack app for iOS or Android. Select the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program and track the stories you share with your child. We all know how children love to hear the same stories over and over again, and re-readings are certainly welcome! When you reach 1000 books, come visit us at the Youth Services Desk and earn a free book for your home collection.
